Can I pass raw HTML in a text box?

This tool expects a file (HTML or zip), not a paste field.

Do @font-face files need to be in the zip?

Yes, if you want those fonts. Otherwise the renderer falls back.

Markdown to PDF is simpler for notes. HTML to PDF is for already-styled pages.
